Men jump to 5th in region, women keep top
spot

|
The UCA Bears men’s basketball team
has jumped to No. 5 in the South Region poll released Wednesday
afternoon.
The Bears jumped from the No. 10 last week.
Lynn took over the top spot this week from West Georgia. The
Braves lost two straight before closing the regular season with
a win Saturday.
The Sugar Bears kept the top spot in the
women’s poll. The Gulf South is well represented in the
women’s poll having five of the top six teams. Henderson
State comes in at No. 2, Valdosta State at No. 4, West Florida
is No. 5 and West Georgia rounds out the GSC schools at No. 6.
The Sugar Bears play Montevallo at 7:30
p.m. Tomorrow, the Bears play UAH Friday.
