Cotton Blossoms hold on for win
TUPELO, Miss. — Arkansas-Monticello saw its 41-29 halftime lead over Alabama-Hunstville slip away in the second half of Wendesday’s Gulf South Conference Tournament game.

UAH came out of the locker room with something to prove. The Lady Chargers were able to tie the game early in the second half, and tied it again at 55 with five minutes to go in the game.

The Cotton Blossoms were able to fend of the UAH charge and won 64-61.

Theresa Tran led the Blossoms with 16 points. Jenna Thomas finished with 13 and Katrina Dean had 12.

The Lady Chargers were led by Kellye Barr with 15 points. Candice Robinson had 14 for UAH.

The Cotton Blossoms move on to face the East Division No. 1 seed Valdosta State tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.
